Here is a link for an one hour activity using "Our Dynamic Planet." You will need more time beforehand to familiarize the students with the user friendly interface. The lesson plans include several suggested exercises that will allow the students to become accustomed to using the software before completing the activity. We have used this activity with students grades 6-12 and at the Community College level, but it was originally designed for eighth grade Earth science. The lesson plans also address how this activity fits in with the California State Science Standards for grades 6-12.
