Idiosyncrasy with the ferret web site:

This site only works with certain browsers. <Click this link to get a list of browsers that work with ferret>. To get Netscape 4.79, go to http://home.netscape.com/ and go to the bottom of the page (don’t download Netscape 6.2. It takes a bit of clicking around to find the 4.79 version, but if you click on “Browser Central” in the list on the left, then click on “Products and Services” when the new page is loaded, you will get to a page that has “What’s New in Communicator 4.7.” Click on the “Download” link and you will get directed to the download page.

A box has been drawn around each of the menu items that you should click on to get to the Netscape 4.79 download page. (Note: please notify W. Prothero if this site no longer takes you to the correct download.
